Campbell White

Campbell White and his young family were at No. 1 on 31 March 1901 when the census was taken.¹ He was resident there when his first son was born on 30 September 1899² and was at 15 Raeburn Place when his second son was born on 21 April 1902.³ He was a bookbinder and finisher, born in Edinburgh on 31 December 1872,⁴ son of house painter Alexander White and Agnes Mackenzie.⁵ He died at 19 Drumsheugh Gardens on 02 January 1930.⁶

Campbell White married Helen Hughes Simpson in Edinburgh on 30 December 1898.⁷ She was born at 9 Paul Street on 03 June 1877, daughter of Alexander Simpson and Ann Martin.⁸ She died in 1936.⁹

Alexander White, first child of Campbell White and Helen H. Simpson, was born at No. 1 Malta Terrace on 30 September 1899.¹⁰ He died in 1983.¹¹
