Margaret Milne was recorded at No. 1 in 1891 along with three of her children. She was born Margaret Archibald on 17 February 1831, at Urquhart, Moray, daughter of John Archibald and Margaret Allan. She married Johm Milne on 19 December 1850, at Speymouth. They had numerous children, but the three living at No. 1 in 1891 were: Barbara Milne, a dressmaker (born 9 January 1855, at Urquhart); Allan Milne, a joiner (born 24 August 1862, at Elgin); and Maggie Bella Milne, a compositor (born c.1875 at Elgin).
