Mrs John Grieve was the first occupant of No. 6 Malta Terrace. She was resident there between 1823 and 1825.1 She was then listed at 12 North St David Street, until 1828, and then at Danube Street.2 A Janet Grieve, aged 70 years, was recorded at 1 Danube Street in the 1841 census.3
James Grieve, a clothier with premises in the High Street and then St Andrews Square, listed No. 6 as his residence between 1824 and 1826.4 He went bankrupt in 1826.5 He may have been the son of Mrs John Grieve.
