Mrs P Ewart

Mrs P Ewart, the first occupant of No. 3, was listed there from 1832 to 1835. She was the widow of Peter Ewart of Rosefield, a former surgeon in the Honourable East India Company, who died on 28 April 1822, aged 64 years. She was born Jane Lundie, on 20 January 1789, second daughter of Archibald Lundie WS (1748-1841), and died in Camberwell, London on 22 January 1849.

Jane Lundie married Peter Ewart in Edinburgh on 27 October 1807. They had six children, the eldest being Peter Ewart (1811-1854) who also lived at No. 3.
