Euphemia Turnbull

Mrs Euphemia Turnbull lived at No. 7 from about 1839 to 1841. She was born Euphemia Mackie (c.1790) and was the widow of John Turnbull, a grocer in Rose Street, who died in 1821. In 1841 three of their children were living with her at No. 7, Agnes Turnbull (born in 1808), John Turnbull, a merchant (born c.1820), and William Mackie Turnbull, a medical student at the Edinburgh university (born 27 May 1820).
