Sarah Mack

Mrs. Sarah Mack, a widow, lived at No. 1 (7 St Bernard’s Row) between 1900 and 1906.¹ In the 1901 census she was described as an annuitant.² She was born Sarah Scott Clarkson in Edinburgh on 27 February 1828, daughter of John Clarkson of Middlebank House, Fife and his wife Sarah Hamer.³

Sarah Scott Clarkson married David Ireland Mack, a banker, on 01 December 1858 at Ardrossan, Ayrshire.⁴ He died at Ardrossan in 1894⁵ and the widowed Sarah Clarkson or Mack moved to Edinburgh before the turn of the century. She died at Ealing, London 25 October 1908.⁶
