Sarah Mack

Mrs. Sarah Mack, a widow, lived at No. 1 (7 St Bernard’s Row) between 1900 and 1906.1 In the 1901 census she was described as an annuitant.2 She was born Sarah Scott Clarkson in Edinburgh on 27 February 1828, daughter of John Clarkson of Middlebank House, Fife and his wife Sarah Hamer.3

Sarah Scott Clarkson married David Ireland Mack, a banker, on 01 December 1858 at Ardrossan, Ayrshire.4 He died at Ardrossan in 18945 and the widowed Sarah Clarkson or Mack moved to Edinburgh before the turn of the century. She died at Ealing, London 25 October 1908.6
