Matilda Dickson was a domestic servant at No. 6 in 1871. She was born at Leith on 2 August 1853, daughter of John Dickson, a ship’s carpenter, and Mary Tait. On 26 January 1872, aged 18, she married Charles Hanson, a merchant seaman. She was soon widowed, and died on 14 July 1880 at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh.
