Stuart Lunn

Stuart Lunn, a recently qualified dentist, occupied No. 2 between 1911 and 1913.¹ He was born in Edinburgh on 03 June 1886, son of Robert Lunn and Mary Ann Courtneidge,² and grew up at No. 4 Malta Terrace. He was recorded in the 1911 census as living at No. 4.³ He was admitted Licentiate in Dental Surgery (LDS) in 1907 and registered as a dentist on 09 January 1909.⁴ He was a captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps.⁵

Stuart Lunn married Maud Annie Dale at Macclesfield, Cheshire on 22 September 1915 and the couple moved to London Road, Norbury, London.⁶ In 1921, Stuart Lunn was in practice and living with his wife in Whyteleaf  Road, Norbury, London.⁷ By 1938 he was back in Edinburgh at 3 Comely Bank and in practice with his brother James McDougall Lunn.⁸ He died at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Edinburgh on 27 July 1974.⁹ His widow Maud Dale or Lunn died in Edinburgh the following year.¹⁰
