Mary Adeline Bell

Mrs. Mary Adeline Bell lived at No. 3 for about five years, between 1933 and 1938.[1] She was the widow of Robert Charles Bell, an elocution teacher, who died at the age of 58 on 08 January 1931.[2] She was born Mary Adeline Jackson at Hightown, Middlewich, Cheshire on 17 May 1879,[3] daughter of John Fletcher Jackson, printer and stationer, and Mary Jane Sant.[4] She was still living with her parents in Middlewich in 1901,[5] and in 1911 she was a nursing sister in Chester.[6]

Mary Adeline Jackson married Robert Charles Bell at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh on 01 June 1914.[7] She died, aged 81 years, at Queensberry House hospital on 30 December 1960.[8]
