When Thomas Arthur Robb was born in an Edinburgh hospital on 01 October 1938 his parents’ address was No. 3 Malta Terrace.[1] They were Thomas Gray Robb and Isabella Rowe Young Arthur who married the previous year, on 24 December 1937. He was a builder’s labourer and she was a confectionery shop assistant.[2] In 1939 they were listed in the electoral register at 137 St Leonard’s Street.[3]
Thomas Gray Robb was born in Edinburgh in 1909,[4] son of William Robb, a fitter, and Christina Gray. He died in 1984.[5]
Isabella Rowe Young Arthur (known as Isa) was born in 1911,[6] daughter of Robert Arthur, a saddler, and Isabella Young. She died in 1990.[7]
Thomas Arthur Robb, born when his parents lived at No. 3 Malta Terrace, died in Edinburgh in 2013.[8]
