Ronald Wardropper and Elizabeth M. Wardropper were resident at 7a St Bernard’s Row from 1950 until 1966.1 Ronald Wardropper was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 12 October 1926, son of Charles Snowden Wardropper, hairdresser, and Eliza Mackinson. He served as an aircraftman in the RAF during the second world war but his occupation after the war, and while he lived at 7a St Bernard’s Row, is not known. He died 19 April 1978 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.2
Ronald Wardropper married Elizabeth Mary Pearson in Leith on 18 January 1947.3 She was born in 19284 the daughter of Robert Pearson, a dock labourer in Leith, and Agnes Angus McCaskill. She was a Post Office telephonist at the time of her marriage. She died in 2004.5
