Donald Cameron

Donald Cameron, Esq., of Malta, near Stockbridge, Edinburgh was listed there in the 1815/16 post office directory. About this time he sold the estate of Malta to Henry William Baynes and lived at Albany Cottage. Donald Cameron died on 17 January 1818, at the age of 74. His heir, grandson, George Langlais Cameron, a medical student, inherited an interest in the feued properties of Malta Terrace, but himself died before completion of the proceedings arising from Baynes’ bankruptcy.
