Anne Lennox Blackie was recorded at No. 5 in the census of 1851, along with her four daughters. She was born c.1806 at Columbia, South Carolina, daughter of Burridge Purvis and Mary Brown. The widowed Mary Brown or Purvis was living at No. 5. Anne Purvis married William Lennox Blackie, a merchant from Dundee, on 18 February 1828. He died before 1851. Anne Blackie, an annuitant, was living in Dublin Street in 1861, and died c.1870.
Anne Blackie’s daughters were Maria Lennox Blackie (1830-1857), Fanny Lennox Blackie (born c.1833), Annie Lennox Blackie (born c.1834), and Jane Lennox Blackie (born c.1841).
