Mrs John Grieve was the first occupant of No. 6 Malta Terrace. She was resident there between 1823 and 1825.[1] She was then listed at 12 North St David Street, until 1828, and then at Danube Street.[2] A Janet Grieve, aged 70 years, was recorded at 1 Danube Street in the 1841 census.[3]
James Grieve, a clothier with premises in the High Street and then St Andrews Square, listed No. 6 as his residence between 1824 and 1826.[4] He went bankrupt in 1826.[5] He may have been the son of Mrs John Grieve.
