Selena R. White and Marjorie R. White were listed at No. 3 Malta Terrace in electoral registers between 1933 and 1936.<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> Selena Reid White was born in Belfast in 1868, the daughter of Samuel White and Margaret Cooper Shaw. By 1881 the family had moved to Scotland and were living in Govan. Ten years later, Selena and her parents were at 19 Melville Street, Pollockshields<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> where Samuel White, a commercial traveller, died on 28 April 1892.<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> In 1901 Selena was described as a collector for a mission, living with her widowed mother at 81 Somerville Drive, Cathcart.<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> In 1921 she was described as a clerkess.<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> When she died at 89 Comely Bank Avenue, on 04 March 1937, she was unmarried and described as a collector for a charitable institution.<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Marjorie Rose White was Selena\u2019s niece. She was born in Edinburgh 28 January 1895, daughter of James Alfred Canning White, a commercial traveller, and his wife Eliza Andrews.<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> She was recorded in 1921 living in a single room with her aunt at 8a Howe Street.<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> She died in 1968.<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
