- 'Invalid Burned to Death'
A Buchan man, George Willox Gillanders (53), was found burned to death at his home, Smiddyseat, Tyrie, near Fraserburgh, to-day.
He came out of hospital only four weeks ago and was still a partial invalid.
The bedclothes were smouldering when he was found by his daughter Alison (19).
Mr Gillanders, a blacksmith, was a widower.
