LAD DROWNED AT FRASERBURGH.
A sad case of drowning was brought to light at Fraserburgh yesterday. On Thursday afternoon a lad named William Cardno, aged ten, son of Wm. Cardno, fisherman, was playing with a younger brother in North Street, when he suddenly disappeared. Not turning up late at night, the police were informed, but, though the town was searched, no trace of him could be found. Yesterday the local divers searched the harbour, and during the afternoon the body of the lad was found in Balaclava harbour, near the foot of North Street.
