974 | The Courier, Saturday, January 19, 1901. LAD DROWNED AT FRASERBURGH. A sad case of drowning was brought to light at Fraserburgh yesterday. On Thursday afternoon a lad named William Cardno, aged ten, son of Wm. Cardno, fisherman, was playing with a younger brother in North Street, when he suddenly disappeared. Not turning up late at night, the police were informed, but, though the town was searched, no trace of him could be found.
