      Arbroath Seaman's Sad Death

Information was received in Arbroath yesterday of the sad death in Grangemouth of Richard Cardno (son of Captain Cardno, Arbroath), a seaman on board the steamship Bull, of Grangemouth. Cardno, it appears, had occasion to be on board the steamer Amsterdam, when he accidentally fell from the deck into the hold of the vessel. Medical aid was immediately procured, but his injuries proved too serious, and he succumbed a few hours later.

Captain Cardno left Arbroath last night for Grangemouth to bring home the body of his son, who was only in his nineteenth year.
