    A. P. Cardno Dies After Son's Return

Alexander P. Cardno, 417 Gallatin Street N.W., died Tuesday of a heart attack at his home.

His death came just a day after reunion with his son, Maj. Alexander M. Cardno, a veteran of the China-Burma-India theater of war. Maj. Cardno arrived home Monday and talked with his father that night of his war experiences and future plans. He had not seen his family since June, 1943.

Previously he had been employed by the Boyle Construction Co. For the last five years he had been a carpenter with Lansburgh's Department Store.

He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Clan MacLennan and the Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church.
