- Mr George Cardno, who had been employed at the left luggage department of the Joint Station for 36 years, passed away at his house, 23 Hollybank Place, to-day, after a short illness. Mr Cardno, who was 63 years of age, was well liked by all whom he came in contact, both at the station and in private life. He was a member of St Clement's Parish Church and of the Aberdeen Liberal Association. Aberdeen Evening Express, 26 January 1914.
