  • Notes 
    • George Cardno, farmer in Pitblae was born circa 1667. He married Margaret Cheves. George Cardno in Pitblae is mentioned on 28 September 1720 (Barony Court Books). He was an elder of Fraserburgh Parish Church. On 7th May 1722 it is recorded that he was worthy and suitable for the office as an elder and on 19th August 1722 he was appointed to carry the stoups and wine was need should require. He died on 17th May 1730 aged 63 and his wife Margaret Cheves died on 16 March 1769 aged 84 (Tombstone). [Source: Cardno MSS, p.11.]
