JAMES H CARDNO (MA 1912, BSc) died suddenly in Peterhead on 3 June 1967, aged seventy-seven. Aftr teaching science in Inverurie from 1915 to 1937, he resigned from teaching. He joined the Civil Service in 1945 and served as assistant commissioner with the National Savings Commission in Northumberland, Cumberland and Co Durham. He retired to live in Newcastle but in January, 1967, he moved to Peterhead to live with his brother.
