Alexander Wilson

Alexander Wilson and his wife May Wiseman Crawford were living at No. 4 Malta Terrace in 1936 when their twin daughters were born prematurely at the Elsie Inglis Maternity Home. Tragically, Frances Wilson died on 16 March 1936 and May Jean Wilson died on 21 March 1936.1

Alexander Wilson, a seedsman, married Annie May Wiseman Crawford in Edinburgh on 03 August 1935.2 They would have entered No. 4 shortly after their wedding. He was born in Anstruther, Fife in 1910, son of park keeper Alexander Wilson and Jean Parker Gilmour,3 and died in 1978.4 Anne May Wiseman Crawford was born in Edinburgh in 1912, daughter of furnaceman William Crawford and Frances Montgomery,5 and died in 1977.6
